IHCL Appoints Aejaz Shaikh as Hotel Manager of Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage

IHCL announces the appointment of Aejaz Shaikh as Hotel Manager of Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage, Goa. Bringing over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Shaikh steps into the role with a strong track record in luxury hotel operations, commercial strategy, and brand development.
Over the course of his career, Shaikh has demonstrated expertise in driving business performance, expanding market share, and enhancing guest experiences across highly competitive hospitality markets.
Proven Commercial Leadership
Prior to his appointment, Shaikh served as Director of Sales & Marketing for Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon and Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage. In this role, he spearheaded the integrated commercial strategy across rooms, food and beverage, events, and ancillary revenue streams.
Under his leadership, the hotels recorded significant growth across strategic segments including MICE, weddings, and leisure travel. He also played a pivotal role in strengthening the hotels’ visibility and positioning in both domestic and international markets.
Strong Academic and Industry Credentials
An alumnus of the University of Madras and the University of Mumbai, Shaikh holds multiple qualifications in business management, marketing, and hospitality, further complementing his extensive operational and commercial expertise.
