Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has opened Cygnett Collection Jim Corbett, a 50-key resort near Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, which is now part of Trademark Collection by Wyndham. The launch strengthens Cygnett’s destination-focused Collection portfolio while advancing its strategic alliance with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Located along the Umedpur-Chilkiya belt, the resort offers convenient access to Jim Corbett National Park and Ramnagar, positioning it to serve wildlife travellers, families, weekend holidaymakers, corporate groups and the destination-events market.

Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts said, “Jim Corbett has developed into a strong year-round leisure market, with demand extending beyond wildlife travel to family holidays, celebrations and corporate retreats.”

He added that the Cygnett Collection is designed to bring together destination-led properties with a distinct sense of place and individual identity, supported by the consistency of Cygnett’s service and operating standards.

The Jim Corbett opening reflects Cygnett’s broader strategy for the Cygnett Collection, its portfolio of boutique resorts, heritage conversions and destination-centric properties. Hotels within the Collection retain their individual architectural and local character while operating under the company’s common hospitality standards and Cygnettureservice framework.

The property’s inclusion in Trademark Collection by Wyndham adds the international hospitality group’s distribution reach and brand visibility, supporting Cygnett’s efforts to attract domestic and international travellers to emerging leisure destinations.

Growth Beyond the Metros

Cygnett is increasingly focusing its expansion on regional and emerging markets, driven by the growth of spiritual tourism, experiential travel, destination weddings and infrastructure-led commercial corridors.

“When we started Cygnett twelve years ago, we were convinced that India’s hospitality growth story would increasingly be shaped by emerging cities and untapped destinations,” Sarkar said. “As we enter the next phase of growth, our focus is on creating a globally connected hospitality platform rooted in regional India.”

The company is targeting a portfolio of more than 100 hotels and 10,000 keys by 2030, supported by its expanding brand portfolio, development pipeline and partnership with Wyndham.

The Jim Corbett opening gives Cygnett a stronger presence in one of North India’s established wildlife and drive-to leisure markets while reinforcing its wider growth ambitions across India and South Asia.
