IHCL Brings the Iconic Taj Brand to Mohali, Punjab
IHCL expands its Punjab footprint with the signing of a Taj in Mohali.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), has announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Mohali, Punjab. The project will be developed as a greenfield venture, further strengthening IHCL’s presence in the state.
Commenting on the signing, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “Mohali’s rise as a key IT and commercial hub makes it a strategic growth market in Punjab. The city’s growing popularity as a destination for weddings and social events further supports IHCL’s strategy to expand in high-potential markets.”

Taj Mohali: Scale and Offerings
The 225-key Taj Mohali will offer uninterrupted views of surrounding greenery. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, and a specialty restaurant. Leisure and wellness amenities will include a swimming pool, gym, health club, and Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle. With over 26,000 sq. ft. of banqueting space, the hotel is set to house the largest event venue in the region, catering to weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings.
Mohali’s Growing Importance
A planned city in Punjab, Mohali is known for its modern infrastructure and is home to several IT companies, educational institutions, and sports facilities, making it an attractive destination for both business and leisure travelers.
With the addition of Taj Mohali, IHCL’s portfolio in Punjab will grow to 14 hotels, including seven currently under development.
