Sayaji Hotels has expanded its footprint in Maharashtra with the launch of Effotel by Sayaji, Sangli, marking a strategic entry into one of Western Maharashtra’s key commercial and agricultural hubs. Located within Shiv R City Mall on Sangli–Miraj Road, the hotel addresses the city’s long-standing need for quality branded accommodation in a market known for its strong business and agrarian economy.
The opening makes Effotel by Sayaji, Sangli the third Effotel property in Maharashtra, joining sister hotels in Sarola (Pune district) and Navi Mumbai. The development reflects the group’s continued focus on expanding its mid-upscale hospitality footprint across Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, bringing branded hospitality experiences to emerging business destinations.
Often referred to as the Turmeric Capital of India, Sangli is a thriving agrarian and commercial centre also known for its grape cultivation. The hotel is conveniently located 7 km from Sangli Railway Station and 50 km from Kolhapur Airport, offering easy access for regional and domestic travellers. Its proximity to Kolhapur—home to the revered Mahalakshmi Temple—also places guests within reach of regional attractions such as Chandoli National Park, Sagareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, Sangli Fort, and the scenic Dandoba Hills Forest Reserve.

Effotel by Sayaji, Sangli offers 59 guest rooms across five categories, designed to cater to business travellers, leisure guests, and long-stay visitors. The inventory includes 15 Grande Rooms, 34 Premium Grande Rooms, 6 Executive Grande Rooms, 2 Grande Suites, and 2 Premium Suites, combining comfort with practical amenities suited for both corporate and leisure stays.
Dining is expected to be a key highlight at the property, with two distinct food and beverage outlets. The Cube, an all-day dining restaurant with a seating capacity of 120 covers, offers a versatile dining experience, while Good Old Days, a 30-seat bar, provides a relaxed setting for guests and local patrons seeking a quality social space in the city.
The property also positions itself as a new venue for MICE and social events in Sangli, featuring two banquet spaces. Jardin 1 can host up to 350 guests in theatre-style seating, while Jardin 2 accommodates up to 150 guests. Together, the venues address a long-standing gap in premium banqueting infrastructure in the city.
