Wynn Al Marjan Island unveils its completed 550-metre beachfront, sheltered lagoon and offshore reef, offering a first look at the waterfront experience planned for the UAE’s first integrated resort.
Stretching for more than half a kilometre along the Ras Al Khaimah coastline, the shoreline will be a defining feature of Wynn Resorts’ first beachfront destination, combining white sand, expansive beach areas and private access to the Arabian Gulf. The beachfront is positioned as a private retreat for resort guests, adding a leisure and nature-led dimension to the wider integrated resort offering.
“Our ambition was to create a shoreline where guests can escape—somewhere they can swim in calm, clear water and enjoy the beachfront in complete privacy,” said Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island.
He added that the project gives Wynn Resorts an opportunity to create a new type of experience within its portfolio by combining the beachfront setting with the company’s hospitality and service offering.
First Beachfront Destination for Wynn
Just offshore, Wynn Al Marjan Island has installed a network of purpose-built reef units aimed at supporting the development of a marine habitat. According to the resort, coral and marine life have already begun establishing themselves around the reef, while ospreys have been observed nesting nearby.
The initiative also connects the development with Ras Al Khaimah’s wider marine environment. The emirate’s coastline features 21 dive sites, including natural reefs and shipwrecks, while regional waters support species including Indian Ocean humpback dolphins, hawksbill, green and loggerhead turtles, marbled electric rays and more than 500 species of fish.
The unveiling provides an early glimpse of how Wynn Al Marjan Island intends to use its waterfront location as a key part of the guest experience, with the private beach, lagoon and reef complementing the resort’s broader hospitality and leisure offering.
