Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a 114-key resort near Kainchi Dham in Nainital, Uttarakhand, marking another step in the hospitality group's expansion across India's emerging leisure and spiritual tourism destinations.
Developed in partnership with Suri Developers, the upcoming Cygnett Resort will be nestled in the Kumaon hills, offering views of the Himalayan landscape and snow-capped peaks.
Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, highlighted the opportunity presented by destinations where spirituality, nature and leisure intersect. “At Cygnett, we see significant opportunities in destinations where leisure, spirituality and nature come together.”
He added that the partnership with Suri Developers would enable the group to address diverse travel needs through accommodation, banqueting facilities and its signature Cygnetture Experience.
Where Spirituality Meets Leisure
Kainchi Dham's growing prominence as a spiritual destination, coupled with the enduring appeal of Nainital and the Kumaon region, presents an opportunity for hospitality development that caters to multiple travel segments.
Located within walking distance of the revered Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, the property is positioned to attract spiritual travellers alongside leisure guests seeking a mountain escape.
The expansion reflects the growing importance of destinations that combine spiritual significance with leisure appeal, as hospitality operators look beyond established tourism centres to capture evolving domestic travel demand.
The resort is being planned to accommodate pilgrims, families, couples and weekend travellers, combining proximity to a significant spiritual landmark with the comforts of contemporary resort hospitality.

Beyond the Kainchi Dham development, the signing signals a wider partnership between Cygnett Hotels & Resorts and Suri Developers, with additional hospitality projects being planned across Uttarakhand.
