IHCL’s Gateway brand achieves a 50-hotel milestone as IHCL signs new property in Hyderabad.

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Gateway hotel in Somajiguda, Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone for the brand as its portfolio reaches 50 hotels. The upcoming property will be developed as a conversion project, reinforcing IHCL’s strategy of expanding the Gateway brand across key urban and commercial destinations.
Commenting on the development, Leah Tata, Vice President & Brand Leader, Gateway Hotels & Resorts, IHCL, highlighted the brand’s positioning and growth strategy. “The reimagined Gateway brand is centred on the concept of being a “Gateway to a Destination,” with properties designed to reflect and connect with the cultural fabric of their locations.”
She added that this positioning has enabled the brand to scale rapidly, building a 50-hotel portfolio across metropolitan cities, state capitals, and major commercial hubs while capturing growth in both business and leisure travel segments. The addition of Gateway Hyderabad will mark the brand’s debut in the city.
Tata also expressed enthusiasm about partnering with D. Siva Rama Raju and DVS. Soma Raju for the project.

Hotel Features and Amenities
Located in the heart of the city, the 225‑key Gateway Somajiguda, Hyderabad features an all‑day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar and a lounge. Recreational offerings include a state‑of‑the‑art gym, health club, swimming pool and treatment rooms. The hotel offers extensive event and conference facilities with 11 banquet halls, including the largest spanning approx. 10,000 sq. ft., supported by multiple meeting rooms.

Developer Partnership
Project partners D. Siva Rama Raju and DVS. Soma Raju expressed their enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating that they look forward to working with IHCL to introduce a refreshed hospitality experience in the Somajiguda area.
Somajiguda is a prominent commercial and residential precinct in Hyderabad. The locality is known for its concentration of corporate offices, retail establishments, and leading healthcare institutions, making it an attractive destination for both business and leisure travellers.
With the addition of this project, IHCL’s footprint in Telangana will expand to eight hotels, including three currently under development, further strengthening the company’s presence in the region’s growing hospitality market.
