Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) announced the signing of a new Taj hotel in Patna, marking a significant greenfield development in Bihar. The project underscores IHCL’s continued commitment to expanding its footprint in high-potential urban markets across India.
The 500-key Taj Patna will be located opposite the iconic Gandhi Maidan, with the River Ganges flowing to the north of the site. The hotel’s prime location positions it as a prominent hospitality landmark in the city. Guests will have access to an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants and a lobby lounge. The hotel will also feature a temperature-controlled swimming pool, fitness centre, recreational facilities, salon and Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle spa.
Designed to cater to Patna’s growing demand for large-scale events, the hotel will offer expansive banqueting infrastructure, including a 16,000 sq. ft. ballroom complemented by multiple meeting spaces. These facilities will make the hotel well suited for major conferences, conventions and social gatherings.
