In a moment underscored by tradition and strategic intent, Vijayta Raheja and Nikhil K. Raheja of the K Raheja family group, together with Sudeep Jain, Managing Director (South West Asia), IHG Hotels & Resorts, hosted a puja ceremony for a landmark hospitality development in Powai, Mumbai.

Positioned as a key addition to Mumbai’s evolving hospitality infrastructure, the development will feature a dual-hotel complex alongside a large-format convention centre. Scheduled for completion in 2026, the project includes approximately 300 keys, 13 meeting rooms, four food and beverage outlets, expansive lawns, and multiple public and event spaces.

Designed to cater to both business and leisure segments, the project reflects a growing demand for integrated hospitality ecosystems that combine accommodation, events, and experiential offerings within a single destination.

Strategic Collaboration Driving Growth

The development represents a strategic partnership between the K Raheja Group and IHG Hotels & Resorts, aimed at strengthening Mumbai’s positioning in the global hospitality and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) landscape.

Speaking at the event, Vijayta Raheja highlighted Maharashtra’s continued leadership as an investment destination, citing strong infrastructure development, ease of doing business, and progressive governance as key enablers.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis, adding political significance and reinforcing the project’s alignment with the state’s growth agenda. Fadnavis emphasised the importance of large-scale integrated developments in enhancing Mumbai’s global competitiveness. He noted that projects of this nature play a critical role in attracting international tourism, business travel, and large-scale conventions.

He also commended the K Raheja Group and IHG Hotels & Resorts for their contribution to the state’s economic and infrastructure growth.

Strengthening the MICE and Tourism Ecosystem

The ceremony concluded on an optimistic note, marking the formal commencement of a project expected to significantly contribute to Maharashtra’s pro-growth vision. Once operational, the development is set to reinforce Mumbai’s standing as a premier hub for hospitality, tourism, and international conventions.

With its scale, strategic location, and integrated design, the Powai project reflects the next phase of urban hospitality—where infrastructure, experience, and global connectivity converge.
