IHCL’s Growth Story Accelerates: 615 Hotels and Counting

IHCL maintains a strong growth trajectory with 615 hotels across operations and pipeline.

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) continued its growth trajectory, expanding its portfolio to 615 hotels, supported by an industry-leading pipeline of 255 hotels. The company remains firmly on track to achieve its long-term expansion goals under its Accelerate 2030 strategy.

 

Commenting on the developments, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “In line with Accelerate 2030, IHCL has expanded its brandscape with the recent acquisition of controlling stake in Atmantan, marking our foray into integrated wellness segment and entered into definitive agreements to acquire 51% stake in Brij, a boutique experiential leisure offering.” She said that these moves align with IHCL’s vision to build a diversified and future-ready hospitality portfolio.

Robust Signings & Diverse Openings

During the third quarter, IHCL recorded key signings across its portfolio. Taj strengthened its presence in metro markets such as Bengaluru and NCR, expanded further in Sri Lanka, and marked its debut in Egypt.

 

Other brands including Gateway, Tree of Life, and Ginger continued their expansion with new signings in destinations such as Bengaluru, Panheli, Nashik, Gurugram, and Ahmedabad, among others.

 

IHCL’s recent openings reflected the depth of its brand portfolio. Taj entered Bhutan with properties in Paro and Phobjika, while SeleQtions expanded into Mandawa, Nadiad, and Varanasi. New openings also included Brij in Bandhavgarh, Tree of Life in Sariska, Vivanta in Aluva, Cochin, Vivanta and Ginger in Ekta Nagar, and Ginger in Ahmedabad and Gurugram.

 

According to Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Hotel Openings & New Businesses, IHCL, these additions have taken the company’s operational portfolio to 360 hotels, with an inventory of over 32,000 rooms.

 

With a strong pipeline and consistent execution across brands and markets, IHCL is well positioned to achieve its target of a 700-hotel portfolio under the Accelerate 2030 strategy.
