Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the opening of Clarks Udaipur, adding another leisure destination to its growing hospitality portfolio. Set against the Aravalli Hills, the 75-key resort reflects the company's focus on destinations where cultural heritage, experiential travel and celebrations intersect.
The opening comes as Udaipur continues to attract leisure travellers and destination wedding clientele, supported by its royal heritage, distinctive landscapes and improving connectivity.

A Contemporary Retreat in the Aravallis
With Udaipur firmly established as one of India's prominent wedding and leisure destinations, the new resort is positioned to cater to multiple segments, from family holidays and intimate getaways to corporate offsites and social celebrations.
Speaking on the opening, Aryavir Kumar, Brand Leader, Clarks, said, “Building on the brand’s presence in India’s storied destinations, the opening of Clarks Udaipur adds another historic city to its growing portfolio.”
He highlighted the growing preference for immersive travel experiences and improved connectivity as key factors supporting the brand's entry into Udaipur.
Surrounded by the Aravalli Hills, Clarks Udaipur combines contemporary resort accommodation with the region's natural setting.
The 75-key property features rooms with private in-room dip pools, mountain views and a range of leisure amenities. Dining experiences extend from the resort's restaurant and bar to a mountain-top dining offering, while a spa provides a wellness-focused escape. Landscaped lawns, recreational activities and cultural performances are designed to appeal to families and leisure travellers alike.
Beyond leisure stays, the resort's event infrastructure forms a significant part of its positioning. Event spaces set among trees, alongside terrace venues and outdoor lawns, offer settings for destination weddings, private celebrations and corporate gatherings.
The combination of accommodation, event facilities and natural surroundings allows the property to address both leisure and group travel demand.
Mewar's Cultural Identity and the Guest Experience
The resort also draws on Rajasthan's cultural traditions through folk music performances and local handicrafts, connecting guests with the region's artistic heritage.
Its location provides access to Udaipur's palaces, lakes and cultural landmarks, alongside excursions to the historic Haldighati trail and Kumbhalgarh Fort.
The opening illustrates the continued importance of experience-led leisure hospitality, particularly in destinations that combine cultural appeal with opportunities for weddings, events and short-break travel.
As travellers increasingly look beyond accommodation towards distinctive destination experiences, properties combining cultural immersion, wellness and event infrastructure are positioned to serve a wider range of hospitality demand.
