IHCL Deepens Goa Footprint with 175-Key Gateway Resort in Colva

The 175-key greenfield resort, developed in partnership with the Dempo Group, will strengthen IHCL’s growing leisure portfolio in Goa.

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Gateway-branded resort in South Goa, strategically located near the popular Colva Beach. The greenfield development marks another milestone in IHCL’s continued expansion in one of India’s most prominent leisure destinations.

 

Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate and Development, IHCL, said, “Goa continues to be one of India’s most sought-after leisure destinations. With a presence spanning over five decades across our brandscape, the signing of this resort reflects our continued commitment to strengthening our footprint in the state. We are delighted to partner with the Dempo Business House for this project.”

 

With this addition, IHCL’s Goa portfolio will expand to 25 hotels, including seven currently under development.

Resort Designed for Leisure and Events

Spread across 2.9 acres overlooking Colva Beach, the upcoming Gateway Resort Colva Beach Road, Goa will feature 175 keys and cater to both leisure and event-driven travel. The resort’s culinary offerings will include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a bar.

 

Guests will also have access to a range of wellness and recreational facilities, including a swimming pool, fitness centre and treatment rooms.

 

A key highlight of the property will be its approximately 7,000 sq. ft. ballroom complemented by expansive outdoor lawns, positioning the resort as a preferred venue for weddings, social celebrations and corporate gatherings.
