Before it reopened, The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai offered SOH an exclusive preview to its serene new interiors and elevated spa menu.

In the middle of Mumbai’s high-octane Worli district, Four Seasons Mumbai has quietly rewritten a script for luxury wellness. The Spa at Four Seasons Mumbai freshly reimagined and ready to welcome guests, isn’t a place to simply relax—it’s a place to realign. SOH was given an exclusive preview, and the experience wasn’t about bells-and-whistles. It was about finding inner equilibrium.
This new chapter in the spa’s story reflects a larger shift within the property—where wellness is no longer a seasonal indulgence but a year-round strategy, shaping not just spa menus but guest journeys, service touchpoints, and even room experiences.
“Wellness isn't an add-on—it’s a philosophy that permeates every touchpoint of the guest experience,” says Nitesh Gandhi, General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai. “From check-in to turndown, everything is designed to help guests decompress and reconnect.”

The Kansa foot ritual is a centuries-old Ayurvedic practice.
The Design: Soft Lighting, Stillness, and Spaces that Breathe
The redesigned spa interiors—helmed by Singapore’s LTW Designworks—are intentionally understated, the kind of elegance that hums rather than shouts. Think: warm, tactile neutrals, natural light that filters through like a soft breath, and textures that calm rather than stimulate.
Private spa suites now come equipped with their own jacuzzis and steam rooms. A vitality pool offers a moment of weightless stillness. A dedicated Ayurveda space anchors the past in the present. Even the post-treatment zones—quiet, meditative, intentional—encourage you to linger and simply be.
“We wanted the design to feel intuitive and immersive,” explains Suryavanshi. “A place where stillness is built into the walls.”

The bodywork is enhanced by Ras Luxury Oils, while the facials harness the power of Gemology Cosmetics Paris' mineral treatments inspired by precious stones.
Spa Rituals that Ground, Restore and Illuminate
At The Spa, every treatment begins not with essential oils or scrubs, but with grounding. The Kansa foot ritual—a centuries-old Ayurvedic practice—centres the nervous system and prepares the body to receive. It’s a small gesture with transformative intent.
From there, the therapies unfold like stories. The Rejuvenating Serenity Massage, for instance, pairs flowing strokes with a bespoke blend of Serenity Oil to melt mental clutter and muscular strain. The 24K Gold Radiance Facial infuses the skin with gold, hyaluronic acid, and vitamins—a sensorial experience that lifts, firms, and illuminates.
Beyond signature experiences, the new menu introduces a series of globally inspired rituals: Myrrh, with Thai kneading techniques, encourages deep physical release. Noir goes deeper, working into held tension with precision. Neroli Massage, slow and aromatic, feels more like a moving meditation than a massage.
The bodywork is enhanced by Ras Luxury Oils, prized for their plant purity and Ayurvedic roots. Facials harness the power of Gemology, the French skincare line that brings gemstone science to the surface.
For couples, there’s Spa Romance—a side-by-side massage followed by a candlelit soak—or Blissful Journey, a three-hour indulgence designed to completely reset body and mind. Even children are invited to participate in the spa’s wellness ethos, with the Junior’s Escape menu offering gentle, scented treatments tailored just for them.
Behind the scenes is a team of deeply experienced therapists—many of whom have been with the hotel for over a decade—who blend technique with intuition, ensuring that every recommendation, every gesture, feels personal.

The Four Season Spa’s Wellness Mindset
“Wellness today is personal. From the pressure of a massage to the post-treatment detox juice, we customise everything. It’s not just about pampering—it’s about presence,” notes Suryavanshi. “Wellness is no longer secondary. It’s a core driver of our business,” he says. “Guests are prioritising self-care, and our spa becomes a natural extension of their lifestyle.”
This seamless integration of wellness across departments isn’t just conceptual—it’s commercial. The Spa has become one of the hotel’s most significant revenue centres, drawing both in-house guests and Mumbai’s well-heeled locals.

A New Kind of Spa Patron: Younger, Wiser, and Wellness-First
The rise of younger, wellness-forward travellers has only accelerated this shift. Unlike older generations, they’re not waiting for burnout—they’re proactively building balance into their lives, even on business trips.
And perhaps that’s what makes The Spa at Four Seasons Mumbai feel so relevant right now. It’s not retreating to the outskirts or selling escape. It’s offering something quieter: balance, built into the everyday.
“Today’s traveller seeks more than comfort—they want clarity, connection, and calm. “That’s what we’ve created here,” Suryavanshi adds.
In a city that never stops, The Spa at Four Seasons is not a pause button. It’s a gentle recalibration—an invitation to return to yourself.
