These appointments reinforce the company’s strategic focus on operational synergy, brand consistency, and guest-experience innovation—key priorities in an increasingly competitive luxury and lifestyle travel sector.
Within the Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts brand, Mario Stanic has been named General Manager of RAAYA by Atmosphere, while Maurice Van Den Bosch assumes the role of General Manager at VARU by Atmosphere. Under the COLOURS OF OBLU portfolio, Brett Craig Castleman joins as General Manager of OBLU SELECT Sangeli.

Mario Stanic brings over three decades of global experience spanning the Maldives, Indian Ocean, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Influenced by his Australian upbringing, he is recognised for reimagining guest journeys through creativity, innovation, and emotional connection. His leadership approach combines operational rigour with empathy, empowering teams to deliver personalised and memorable guest experiences. “True hospitality is about emotion… My aim is to craft moments that resonate,” notes Stanic.

Born in Australia, Maurice Van Den Bosch brings more than 25 years of international hospitality experience across the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and the Caribbean. Known for translating strategy into measurable results, he has previously contributed to the success of Atmosphere Kanifushi and RAAYA by Atmosphere. His leadership style emphasises collaboration, team motivation, and cultural cohesion. “Varu has a unique rhythm. My goal is to lead with energy and collaboration,” he says.

With 27 years of global hospitality experience, Brett Craig Castleman offers a leadership style rooted in South African warmth, operational expertise, and intuitive team engagement. His track record spans luxury resorts across Africa, the Indian Ocean, and the Caribbean. Castleman is known for cultivating team environments that translate into meaningful guest connections. “Great hospitality begins with genuine connection.
