The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas, has announced the appointment of Chinmaya Chikkamath as its new General Manager. With more than 17 years of experience across Marriott International hotels in India, Chikkamath brings deep expertise in luxury hospitality, operational leadership, and strategic management.
Chikkamath’s extensive career across leading Marriott properties has equipped him with a strong foundation in running high-performing luxury hotels. His journey reflects consistent growth, hands-on operational experience, and a track record of driving excellence in guest engagement and service delivery.

Career Journey Across Renowned Marriott Hotels
Beginning his career in hotel operations, Chikkamath progressed through several significant leadership roles within Marriott International.
He previously served as:
- Director of Rooms, JW Marriott Hotel Pune
- Director of Operations, Courtyard by Marriott Pune Hinjewadi
In these roles, he played a key part in enhancing service standards, optimising processes, improving guest satisfaction metrics, and leading diverse teams to deliver outstanding results.
His appointment as General Manager at Marriott Suites Pune in March 2023 marked a pivotal milestone, underscoring his strategic vision, operational acumen, and ability to steer large teams toward impactful outcomes.
