The Landmark Kanpur joins Hyatt’s JdV Collection, marking India’s second property and continued strategic expansion of its brands in India.

Hyatt Hotels has announced the signing of The Landmark Kanpur, which will join the JdV by Hyatt brand, underscoring the company’s continued strategic growth in India. Located in one of Kanpur’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, the property is owned by Som Datt Landmark Hotels and Recreations Private Limited and is expected to open in 2026.
The signing reflects Hyatt’s commitment to growing its portfolio of independent, experience-driven lifestyle hotels in key Indian cities, catering to both corporate travellers and social groups.
A Reimagined Lifestyle Destination
The 170-room property will feature a spa, four food and beverage outlets, and versatile event spaces, including a lush 7,200-square-foot lawn on the 21st floor. The hotel is being thoughtfully restored to align with JdV by Hyatt’s elevated design and experiential standards, offering a vibrant, independent hotel experience that reflects the character of its urban neighbourhood.
