Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the opening of Gateway Dehradun, marking the debut of the Gateway brand in Uttarakhand’s capital city and further strengthening its presence in North India.

Commenting on the launch, Leah Tata, Vice President & Brand Leader, Gateway Hotels & Resorts, said, “The opening reflects the brand’s strategy of aligning with destinations that offer a mix of leisure and business appeal. Dehradun has long been a gateway to diverse experiences, owing to its proximity to MussoorieRishikesh and Haridwar. As the city evolves into a prominent leisure and business hub, the new hotel underscores Gateway’s destination-led approach.”

A Contemporary Stay in the Valley

Situated in the heart of the valley, the 100-key hotel offers expansive views of lush greenery. Guests can dine at The Pavillion, an all-day dining restaurant serving Indian, Continental and Asian cuisines, or at Aanch, a specialty North Indian restaurant inspired by the kitchens of the North-West Frontier. The property also features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and wellness facilities, along with versatile event spaces, including the city’s largest banquet hall.

Gateway Dehradun places a strong emphasis on regional flavours and experiences. Guests can sample curated offerings such as the Uttarakhandi Pahadi Thali, Tibetan culinary specialities, and local favourites like Bal Mithai and Singori, alongside bespoke private dining experiences designed to reflect the spirit of the destination.

Designed for the Modern Traveller

Vineet Soni, General Manager, said, “Gateway Dehradun is designed as an inviting space for travellers exploring the region. We look forward to welcoming guests to the hotel.” He added that the team looks forward to hosting both leisure and business guests seeking comfort, authenticity and warm hospitality.

Nestled between the Shivalik foothills and the Himalayas, Dehradun is known for its pleasant climate and scenic vistas. Attractions such as Paltan Bazaar, Rajpur Road Market, Robber’s Cave, Mindrolling Monastery, Tapkeshwar Temple and Sahastradhara offer visitors a rich blend of nature, culture and heritage—making the city a fitting home for the Gateway brand’s latest address.
