IHCL Reports Strong Growth Trajectory in H1 FY2026
IHCL continues its accelerated growth momentum in the first half of FY2026 with 46 signings and 26 new openings which includes 14 additions through the marketing and distribution partnership with Brij Hospitality and Clarks Group of Hotels.

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) continues its accelerated growth momentum in the first half of FY2026, recording 46 new signings and 26 hotel openings. Of these, 14 properties were added through marketing and distribution partnerships with Brij Hospitality and the Clarks Group of Hotels.
Focus on Mid-Scale to Upscale Segments
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, highlighted that a significant portion of the 46 signings during H1 FY2026 were in the mid-scale to upscale segment, spanning IHCL’s Gateway, Tree of Life, and Ginger brands. This growth was further supported by multi-hotel framework agreements with the Ambuja Neotia group for the Taj, SeleQtions, and Tree of Life brands, as well as with Madison for the Ginger brand in South India.
Venkatesh added that Taj hotels were signed in strategic locations including Darjeeling, ECR Chennai, Pondicherry, Mohali, and even Kruger National Park, South Africa. “Fuelled by this strong growth, IHCL is well poised to achieve its goal of a 700-hotel portfolio under the Accelerate 2030 strategy,” she said.

Robust Pace of Hotel Openings
Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Hotel Openings & New Businesses, IHCL, noted that the company maintained a strong pace of openings in H1 FY2026, with 12 hotels inaugurated and 14 additional properties onboarded. New market entries included a Taj in Alibaug and Raichak, two SeleQtions resorts in Lakshadweep, and a Vivanta in Thane.
IHCL also reinforced its presence in existing locations with the opening of Taj Lalit Bagh, Udaipur (its fourth Taj hotel in the city), a Gateway hotel in Coorg and Ahmedabad, a second SeleQtions in Haridwar, and a Ginger hotel in Dehradun.
With these additions, IHCL now operates over 250 hotels across India, offering 25,500 rooms, marking a key milestone in the company’s journey of sustainable and strategic growth.
