The Ascott Limited (Ascott) announces the appointment of Rohit Dar as Vice President & Head of South Asia. In this role, Rohit will drive Ascott’s growth strategy in the region, overseeing business performance, expansion initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.
Proven Leadership and Industry Expertise
With over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Rohit brings extensive leadership experience and a strong track record of commercial success across international brands. Previously, he served as Senior Regional Director of Operations at Hilton India, managing a multi-brand portfolio in South India and strengthening owner relationships.
Rohit has also held General Manager positions at Marriott International, leading marquee properties including The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace and Jaipur Marriott Hotel. His career began with The Oberoi Group, where he spent 18 years in hotel and corporate leadership roles, developing expertise in service excellence, performance management, and talent development.

In India, the company currently operates 985 keys across seven properties in six cities, with over 5,000 keys in the development pipeline, underscoring a strong growth trajectory.
The company is expanding across both established gateway cities and emerging Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, reflecting the evolving travel landscape.
