Courtyard by Marriott Tirupati has appointed Samata Danday Chand as Hotel Manager—signalling a clear leadership focus from day one.
In her new role, Samata will oversee end-to-end hotel operations, define the guest experience, and steer the hotel’s growth strategy during its crucial opening phase and beyond. Her mandate includes building strong operational foundations while establishing service standards aligned with Marriott’s brand promise.
A Career Built on Operational Excellence
A seasoned hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience, Samata brings deep expertise across hotel operations, guest engagement, and team leadership.
She began her career with IHCL Taj Hotels, where she spent nearly a decade as Executive Housekeeper, leading multiple pre-opening projects and large-scale renovations. This early exposure laid a strong foundation in operational precision and execution—skills critical for launching a new property.
She later transitioned into Learning & Development, contributing significantly to talent development and organisational culture, before moving into senior operational roles including Operations Manager and Director of Rooms, where she functioned as second-in-command overseeing overall hotel performance.
Most recently, she served as Executive Assistant Manager – Rooms at JW Marriott Bengaluru Golfshire, where she played a key role in enhancing luxury guest experiences and driving operational excellence.
