Roswyn marks the debut of Ennismore’s Morgans Originals brand in India, introducing a hospitality concept rooted in individuality, cultural relevance, and contemporary city living. Positioned adjacent to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the hotel blends the convenience of an airport location with the dynamic energy of Mumbai, creating a destination designed for both short visits and extended stays.

Conceived around the rhythms of modern city life, Roswyn brings together large-format suites, destination dining, collaborative social spaces, and longevity-focused wellness under one roof. The property is designed to seamlessly integrate living, working, and social interaction, catering to business travellers, creatives, and urban explorers alike.

Design Rooted in Mumbai’s Character

The hotel features 109 suites starting from 80 sq. m, each designed as a residential-style living space rather than a conventional hotel room. Suites include lounge areas, kitchenettes, home bars, and dedicated study zones, offering guests the comfort and functionality of a private urban residence.

Nitan Chhatwal, Managing Director, Shrem Airport Hotels, notes: “Mumbai moves quickly, but people still seek spaces where they can slow down, connect, and spend time together. Roswyn was created to feel effortless to return to — whether for conversations, dining, or simply a pause in the day.”

Paris-based designer Daphné Desjeux approached Roswyn as a reflection of Mumbai’s layered identity rather than through conventional visual references. The interiors feature embroidered portraiture, ceramics inscribed with “Bombay,” and photographic studies of the city’s shoreline, creating spaces that feel intimate, personal, and quietly expressive.

The result is an environment that evolves with the guest experience, revealing new details over time while maintaining a sense of understated sophistication.

Distinct Culinary and Social Experiences

Roswyn’s food and beverage offerings are positioned as standalone social destinations within the city. The hotel’s Italian restaurant celebrates generational cooking traditions through Neapolitan-style pizzas, hand-rolled pastas, and seasonal menus inspired by family recipes. Designed to function equally as a neighbourhood dining destination and hotel restaurant, Fi’lia encourages long lunches and extended evening gatherings. A Japanese-inspired listening bar centred around vinyl culture, Black Lacquer transitions from an intimate, low-lit setting into a more energetic nightlife venue as the evening progresses. Its beverage programme focuses on precision and restraint, featuring sake, shochu, classic highballs, and signature cocktails.

Positioned as a hybrid social workspace, The Third Room caters to travellers, professionals, and locals seeking a flexible environment for meetings, focused work, networking, or informal gatherings.

Roswyn extends its lifestyle proposition through a comprehensive wellness offering that includes a Technogym-powered fitness centre, infinity pool, Tiny Town children’s zone, and Blu Xone — a longevity-focused wellness concept introduced as a first-of-its-kind offering in India.

Together, these facilities create an interconnected hospitality ecosystem where leisure, productivity, and wellbeing coexist naturally.

Leadership and Vision

Louis Abboud, Chief Growth Officer, Ennismore, describes the launch as a significant milestone in the group’s India expansion strategy: “Lifestyle hospitality today is about creating culturally relevant destinations that become part of a city’s everyday rhythm. India represents one of the world’s most dynamic hospitality markets, and Roswyn marks an important first step for Morgans Originals in the country.”

Ranju Alex, CEO, Accor South Asia, adds: “Roswyn reflects the evolving expectations of modern travellers seeking immersive, lifestyle-led hospitality experiences. The opening reinforces our commitment to expanding Ennismore’s lifestyle portfolio in India through culturally connected destinations.”

Roswyn is led by Rajiv Kapoor, General Manager, Fairmont Mumbai & Roswyn, alongside Hotel Manager Annam Lubana. Their operational focus centres on intuitive service, cohesive guest experiences, and creating spaces that align with how contemporary travellers engage with cities today.

As Kapoor explains: “Mumbai doesn’t need more overt luxury. It needs places that understand how people genuinely want to experience the city.”

Rather than positioning itself as a conventional luxury hotel, Roswyn introduces a more intuitive and experience-led approach to hospitality in Mumbai. By combining residential-style accommodation, destination dining, social connectivity, and wellness-driven experiences, the property reflects a growing shift toward lifestyle hospitality that is both globally relevant and locally grounded.
