Hilton strengthens India’s growth strategy with the launch of Spark by Hilton in Bengaluru and Goa, marking the brand’s debut in the Asia Pacific region. The openings are part of Hilton’s strategic partnership with Olive Hospitality, which aims to roll out 150 Spark by Hilton hotels across India, highlighting the country’s growing significance in the global hospitality market.

Launched in 2023, Spark by Hilton has quickly become one of Hilton’s fastest-growing brands, catering to value-conscious travelers seeking reliable, quality stays at affordable price points.

With more than 240 hotels in operation worldwide and nearly 230 properties in the development pipeline, the brand’s India entry signals Hilton’s intent to tap into the country’s rapidly expanding mid-market travel segment.

Targeting India’s Mid-Market Traveller

Hilton sees India’s growing middle-class travel segment as a major opportunity for Spark. The brand is positioned to serve guests seeking simplicity, consistency and comfort, without compromising on service quality.

“The modern Indian traveller is evolving rapidly, with guests increasingly seeking branded stays that deliver quality, convenience and consistency,” said Zubin Saxena, Senior Vice President and Regional Head, South Asia, Hilton. “Spark by Hilton addresses that need directly, while allowing us to scale at the pace this market demands.”

The first two properties reflect distinct demand drivers:

  • Spark by Hilton Bengaluru Marathahalli Outer Ring Road (82 keys) is located in one of Bengaluru’s busiest technology and commercial corridors, targeting corporate and MICE demand.

  • Spark by Hilton Goa Calangute (64 keys) caters to leisure travelers, group stays, corporate offsites and travel trade business in one of India’s leading tourism destinations.

Localised Hospitality with Global Standards

For India, Hilton has adapted the Spark experience with locally relevant touches, including complimentary breakfast featuring DIY dosa stations, self-service chai carts and technology-enabled conveniences such as digital check-in, Digital Key access and Hilton Honors app integration.

“Travellers should not have to choose between value and quality,” said Andrew Ling, Regional Head, Focused Service and All-Suites Brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton. “Spark by Hilton delivers reliable essentials and a high-quality experience at an attainable price point.”

A Conversion-Led Growth Model

According to Kahraman Yigit, Co-founder & CEO, Olive Hospitality, Spark’s conversion-friendly model offers hotel owners a faster route into branded hospitality while helping address the shortage of organized mid-market accommodation in India.

“With Hilton’s global recognition and loyalty ecosystem, Spark by Hilton has the potential to redefine value-driven hospitality in India and accelerate the growth of the country’s organized mid-market segment,” Yigit said.

The India debut of Spark by Hilton signals Hilton’s confidence in the country’s fast-growing travel economy and rising demand for branded mid-scale accommodation.

As Hilton and Olive Hospitality target a 150-hotel rollout, Spark is poised to become a major player in India’s value-led hospitality segment while strengthening Hilton’s footprint across Asia Pacific.
