IHCL-Ambuja Neotia Commit ₹2,700 Crore Expansion Across 7 Bengal Destinations

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) and Ambuja Neotia have announced the opening of AltAir House – IHCL SeleQtions in Kolkata and Siliguri, further strengthening their longstanding hospitality partnership.
Introduced under a franchise arrangement, the properties bring a design-led, experience-focused approach to IHCL's SeleQtions portfolio.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO, IHCL, described the openings as a new chapter in the partnership, highlighting the companies' shared commitment to advancing regional tourism, creating distinctive travel experiences and expanding IHCL's brand presence across West Bengal.

Accelerating Hospitality Growth
Alongside the openings, Ambuja Neotia announced an investment commitment of approximately ₹2,700 crore across West Bengal's hospitality sector, spanning Kolkata, Raichak, Digha, Siliguri, Lataguri, Kalimpong and Darjeeling.
The investment encompasses the two newly launched hotels and a ₹100 crore expansion of Taj Chia Kutir Resort & Spa, Darjeeling, adding 28 rooms and 15,000 sq. ft. of banqueting facilities.
Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman, Ambuja Neotia Group, emphasised the state’s diverse tourism appeal, from urban and riverfront destinations to tea estates, forests and the Himalayas.
The investment reflects the group's confidence in West Bengal's tourism potential and its ambition to develop distinctive hospitality destinations that encourage repeat visitation.
With AltAir House introducing an individual design identity and curated guest experiences, alongside the continued expansion of the Kutir portfolio, the IHCL–Ambuja Neotia partnership is positioning itself to capture emerging opportunities across Bengal's evolving hospitality landscape.
