Atmosphere Core Reaches 10-Resort Milestone in the Maldives
Opening in March 2027, the 118-villa Amaraa Faru Resort will introduce Atmosphere Core’s ONE BANYAN concept to the Maldives.

Atmosphere Core has announced the signing of ONE BANYAN Amaraa Faru An Atmosphere Hotel, its 10th resort in the Maldives.
Scheduled to open in March 2027, the property will sit within Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts under the ‘An Atmosphere Hotel’ sub-brand and will debut the company’s new ONE BANYAN series of co-branded island resorts.
Conceived to give each resort an independent identity while remaining connected to the larger brand, ONE BANYAN responds to a shift towards more individual, experience-led luxury. The name Amaraa Faru combines ‘amaraa’, inspired by the Sanskrit association with eternity, and ‘faru’, meaning reef in Dhivehi.

He added that experiences are increasingly influencing travel decisions beyond amenities and services alone.
Located in Kaafu Atoll, a 45-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport, the resort will feature 118 beach and overwater villas, all with private pools.
Its contemporary design will take cues from the Maldives’ marine landscape and traditional palm-leaf craftsmanship, combining natural materials, local textures, Art Deco influences and eco-conscious finishes.
The resort’s culinary offering will include an all-day dining venue, pool bar and three specialty restaurants, including Argentinian and overwater Japanese concepts. Other facilities will span a kids’ club, ocean-view fitness centre, water sports and diving facilities, retail promenade and an ELE|NA Ayur spa with overwater treatment rooms.

Strengthening Its Growth Story
Technology will be integrated across the guest journey, alongside solar-energy solutions, water-conservation systems and a no-plastics approach.
Founded in 2013, Atmosphere Core currently operates nine resorts across three brands in the Maldives, while its international footprint is expanding into India, Italy and other markets across Europe and South Asia.
ONE BANYAN Amaraa Faru represents the company’s next step in building destination-led resorts that combine contemporary luxury with a stronger sense of place.
