IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with AR Infra Consultancy to develop Crowne Plaza Hyderabad Shamshabad Airport Road, marking the brand’s entry into the Hyderabad market. Scheduled to open in Q1 2031, the 250-key property will strengthen IHG’s premium hospitality footprint in one of the city’s emerging commercial corridors.
Located near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and the upcoming 3.5 million sq. ft. World Trade Centre, the hotel is positioned to capture growing demand from corporate travellers, airport transit passengers, long-stay guests and the MICE segment.
A Strategic Bet on Hyderabad’s Airport Corridor
With Hyderabad Airport handling approximately 31 million passengers in 2025, Shamshabad is witnessing a transformation driven by aerospace, logistics, industrial infrastructure and mixed-use developments.
The upcoming hotel will feature 250 rooms, including 37 suites, five dining and beverage venues, and 1,170 sq. m. of meeting and event space, including an 800 sq. m. ballroom. A club lounge, spa, fitness centre and swimming pool will complement its business-focused positioning.

Strengthening Premium Growth Strategy
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said that the signing reflects the group's continued commitment to expanding its premium portfolio across India.
For AR Infra Consultancy, the development also marks its first foray into hospitality, extending its real estate and infrastructure expertise into a new sector.
P. Revanth Reddy from AR Infra Consultancy, added, “We see this development as an opportunity to create a landmark hospitality destination in Hyderabad, while contributing to the city’s growing prominence as a business and investment hub. Our vision is to build on this foundation and establish a long-term presence in the hospitality sector.”
As Hyderabad’s commercial landscape expands beyond established business districts, airport-led hospitality developments are emerging as an important growth opportunity.
