Sayaji Hotels Ltd has announced the signing of four new hotels across India's leading pilgrimage destinations, marking a significant expansion into the country's fast-growing spiritual tourism sector.
The latest additions include Enrise by Sayaji in Somnath and Ujjain, along with Effotel by Sayaji in Nashik and Varanasi.
The signings reinforce the group's strategy of building a strong presence in destinations that are witnessing sustained growth in religious, leisure and business travel.
Capitalising on a High-Growth Travel Segment
India's spiritual tourism market has emerged as one of the country's fastest-growing hospitality segments, driven by improved infrastructure, enhanced connectivity and rising domestic travel. As pilgrimage destinations continue to attract millions of visitors annually, demand for organised, quality accommodation has accelerated, creating new opportunities for branded hotel operators.
With its latest expansion, Sayaji Hotels is positioning itself to serve a diverse mix of pilgrims, leisure travellers, families and corporate guests across four of India's most visited religious destinations.
The new signings mark Sayaji's entry into Somnath, home to one of the 12 revered Jyotirlinga shrines, and Varanasi, one of the world's oldest living cities and India's most iconic spiritual destinations.
The company is also entering Ujjain, home to the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga and the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, while strengthening its footprint in Nashik with a second property under the Effotel by Sayaji brand. Nashik is not only a major pilgrimage centre centred around the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga and the Kumbh Mela but has also emerged as an important business and wine tourism destination.
