FHRAI Heads to Varanasi with a Future-Focused Hospitality Agenda

The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) brings hospitality leaders, policymakers, investors together, tourism stakeholders and industry experts to chart the future of Indian tourism through culture, cuisine, technology and sustainable growth.
The 56th Annual Convention from 21-23 August 2026 at Taj Ganges, Varanasi, is being held under the theme “Ananta Kashi: Leading the Future of Tourism through Spirit, Culture, Cuisine and Craft.”
The three-day convention being supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, with Uttar Pradesh Tourism as Partner State, is set for discussions on the opportunities and challenges shaping India’s tourism and hospitality sector. It will be attended by Shri Yogi Adityanath, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, as Chief Guest, along with Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Union Minister of Tourism & Culture, Government of India, alongside industry stalwarts and prominent voices from across India’s tourism ecosystem.
Business Agenda: From AI to Experiential Tourism
The 56th FHRAI Annual Convention will seek to advance conversations around investment, innovation, sustainability, key trends, business opportunities, policy reforms and industry collaboration while positioning India’s expanding hospitality and tourism economy for its next phase of growth.
Surendra Kumar Jaiswal, President, FHRAI, said the convention would provide a significant platform for dialogue on the future of Indian tourism and hospitality. “The 56th FHRAI Annual Convention will serve as a landmark platform for meaningful dialogue on the future of Indian tourism and hospitality. Hosted in the spiritual capital of India, the convention reflects our vision of combining heritage with innovation while creating opportunities for industry collaboration, policy discussions and sustainable growth,” he said.
Garish Oberoi, Chairman, Convention Organising Committee & Hon. Secretary, FHRAI, said the convention has been designed to combine substantive industry engagement with the cultural experience of its host city. “This convention has been thoughtfully designed to encourage meaningful dialogue, foster partnerships, and inspire new ideas that will shape the future of India’s hospitality and tourism sector,” he said.
The programme has also been designed to immerse delegates in the spiritual and cultural character of Varanasi. Curated experiences include visits to Swarved Mahamandir Dham and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Ganga Aarti at Namo Ghat, and a Subah-e-Banaras cruise, offering delegates a closer experience of one of the world’s oldest living cities.
