Moustache Group of Hotels has added King’s Abode, a 25-year-old resort in Ranakpur, Rajasthan, to its Luxuria portfolio, marking the premium brand’s ninth property.
Spread across eight hectares, the resort comprises six distinct precincts, 11 room categories and three wedding lawns. Located five kilometres from the Ranakpur Jain Temple, the property positions Moustache at the intersection of leisure, destination weddings and experience-led travel.
For Moustache, King’s Abode offers an advantage that newer hospitality developments often spend years attempting to create: scale, mature landscaping and an established sense of place. The resort is organised around six areas—Lily Court, King’s Court, Garden Court, Queen’s Court, Royal Pavilion and King’s Grove—each with a distinct relationship to the landscape. The scale is significant: walking through the grounds alone can take close to 30 minutes.
Rather than extensively repositioning the physical character of the resort, Moustache intends to build its hospitality offering around what already exists. Abhishek Khandelwal, co-founder and director, Moustache Group of Hotels said, “King’s Abode already has something that takes years to create: mature landscapes and a strong sense of place with spaces that have grown naturally into the property. Our approach in Ranakpur is to work with that character rather than overwrite it.”
Why Ranakpur?
The addition reflects a larger hospitality opportunity emerging beyond Rajasthan’s established urban tourism centres. Set within the Aravalli hills, Ranakpur is best known for its 15th-century Jain temple, celebrated for its marble architecture and 1,444 individually carved pillars. But its tourism proposition extends beyond pilgrimage. Its position within the wider Pali region provides access to the wilderness around Jawai and the historic landscape of Kumbhalgarh, creating a travel circuit that brings together architecture, spirituality, wildlife and rural Rajasthan.
At roughly 90 kilometres from Udaipur, Ranakpur can also function as a short-stay extension to the city, with Maharana Pratap Airport providing the nearest air connectivity. For hospitality operators, this combination creates an opportunity to build longer, experience-driven itineraries around destinations that have traditionally been treated as day trips or transit points.
King’s Abode’s accommodation spans 11 categories, from Superior and Premium rooms to Junior and Presidential Suites. Several room configurations have been designed around shared spaces. Some Superior rooms open onto common gardens, while other clusters share terraces—formats suited to families and larger groups travelling together. Premium categories extend the proposition with shared pools, private plunge pools and open-air showers.
This flexibility allows the resort to address multiple guest profiles without relying on a single hospitality format, from couples and families to larger social groups.

Weddings as a second growth engine
The property’s scale also gives Moustache access to Rajasthan’s destination wedding and celebrations market. Three large lawns, banquet and conference facilities, gardens and multiple dining venues allow King’s Abode to accommodate formats ranging from private gatherings to large weddings and family celebrations.
King’s Court brings together accommodation, banquet and conference infrastructure, an indoor restaurant and outdoor dining, while the wider estate allows events to be distributed across different landscaped settings.
For a premium leisure resort, this dual positioning is commercially significant: the property can operate as a conventional destination while also accommodating higher-value group and event business.
King’s Abode becomes the ninth property under Luxuria by Moustache, further consolidating the group’s premium hospitality presence in Rajasthan.
