Hyatt Hotels Corporation announces the signing of two management agreements with Brigade Group entities—Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited (BHVL) and BCV Developers Private Limited—marking a significant expansion of its portfolio in India.

The agreements cover two upcoming developments: Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR and Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli, each designed to cater to evolving demand across leisure, business, and extended-stay segments.

Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR: A Beachfront Destination

BHVL will develop Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR, a premium beachfront property along the scenic East Coast Road in Chennai. Scheduled to open in 2029, the hotel is positioned to become a flagship destination for luxury hospitality in the region.

The property will feature approximately 200 guest rooms, complemented by five diverse dining venues—including a signature restaurant, specialty outlets, a pool bar, and a lobby lounge. Guests will also have access to wellness facilities and sophisticated event spaces tailored for weddings, corporate gatherings, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).

Nirupa Shankar, Managing Director, BHVL, emphasised, “This will be our first hotel with Hyatt, and we are confident in Hyatt’s global expertise in managing large-format MICE hotels. Strategically located on East Coast Road, the property is poised to become a premier destination, appealing to business travellers, wedding guests, and leisure seekers alike. Brigade is committed to building landmark hospitality assets, and Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR is a significant step in that journey.”

Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli: A Growing Tech Corridor

In parallel, BCV Developers Private Limited will bring Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli to life in Bengaluru, with an anticipated opening in 2027.

This greenfield project will offer 135 serviced apartments designed for both short and extended stays. Located just 20 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, the property is strategically positioned within the rapidly expanding Devanahalli corridor, home to upcoming IT parks, the Aerospace Science Park, and a planned Financial City.

The hotel will include an all-day dining restaurant, bar, meeting spaces, a swimming pool, and a fitness center—catering to the needs of modern business and leisure travelers.

Amar Mysore, Director, BCV Developers Private Limited said, “The Hyatt House brand is a perfect fit for the Devanahalli locality, offering a blend of comfort and convenience that meets the needs of today's business and leisure travellers. Its proximity to the airport and upcoming tech parks makes it a prime location, and we are confident this hotel will set a new standard for extended-stay hospitality in the region.”

Aligning with Hyatt’s India Growth Strategy

According to Dhruva Rathore, Vice President of Development, India & Southwest Asia at Hyatt, these signings underscore the company’s focus on expanding in high-growth urban and leisure markets across India. "We are confident our guests will savour memorable moments whether they are traveling for business, with family or gathering with colleagues to enrich connections."

Both Chennai and Bengaluru continue to see strong demand driven by business travel, urbanization, and a growing appetite for premium hospitality experiences.

The addition of these properties is expected to enhance Hyatt’s ability to deliver diverse stay experiences—from luxury beachfront escapes to extended-stay urban living—while strengthening its brand presence in key Indian markets.
