IHCL announces the signing of a new Tree of Life resort in Kamshet, Maharashtra, marking the brand’s entry into the fast-growing Kamshet–Lonavala–Pawna leisure circuit. The upcoming property will undergo extensive renovation, with plans to double its room inventory to deliver the signature Tree of Life experience.

The 30-key Tree of Life Kamshet will offer panoramic views of the Sahyadri hills and feature an all-day dining restaurant with a bar, swimming pool, outdoor nature spa and dedicated event venues. These include a glasshouse with adjoining lawns and an amphitheatre designed to host social functions and corporate gatherings.

The resort will also focus on experiential hospitality through curated activities such as organic farming, wine and jam making, and bespoke lakeside dining experiences.

Leadership Perspective

Speaking on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said the region has emerged as a strong leisure destination driven by demand for short getaways, destination celebrations and corporate offsites.

“The Kamshet–Lonavala–Pawna corridor has evolved into a well-established drive-to leisure market, supported by consistent demand across segments including short-stay vacations, social celebrations and corporate events. Its proximity to Mumbai and Pune continues to shape demand patterns, with guests seeking immersive, nature-led experiences. This signing marks Tree of Life’s entry into this market, aligning with the brand’s focus on offering intimate, experience-driven stays and we are delighted to partner with Kalyan Borade for this project,” she said.

Commenting on the partnership, Kalyan Borade said, “We are pleased to partner with IHCL to bring the Tree of Life brand to Kamshet. This association brings together our shared vision for the destination with the brand’s expertise in hospitality.”

Nestled in the Western Ghats, Kamshet is widely known as one of India’s leading paragliding destinations. The region also attracts visitors to nearby attractions including Pawna Lake, Bedse Caves and Kondeshwar Temple, strengthening its appeal as a year-round leisure and adventure tourism hub.
