IHCL Continues Leisure Expansion with 46-Key Tree of Life Resort in Karaikudi
The 46-key heritage-inspired resort strengthens IHCL’s leisure portfolio in the culturally rich Chettinad region.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a 46-key Tree of Life resort in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. The project, which will be developed as a greenfield resort, reinforces IHCL's strategy of expanding its presence in emerging leisure destinations.
Commenting on the signing, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said: “With growing interest in heritage-led and experiential travel, Karaikudi, in the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu, is attracting a diverse mix of leisure travellers and cultural enthusiasts. Heritage-Inspired Resort
Inspired by the region’s iconic Chettiar architecture, the resort will blend traditional design with contemporary comforts. The property will feature an all-day dining restaurant serving authentic Chettinad cuisine, along with wellness and recreation facilities including a swimming pool, gym and spa.
