ITC Hotels Limited (ITCHL) has signed a management agreement for a 65-key Storii by ITC Hotels property in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, marking a further expansion of the hospitality group’s presence in the state.
Located near the Kempty Falls area, the upcoming hotel will overlook the Siwalik ranges and benefit from road connectivity to Dehradun, Rishikesh and Haridwar.
The development will include an all-day dining restaurant, bar and lounge, alongside wellness facilities, positioning it primarily for the leisure and experiential travel segments.
Growing portfolio across leisure destinations
The signing comes as hospitality companies continue to expand into established and emerging leisure destinations, supported by growing demand for shorter getaways, nature-led stays and more destination-specific experiences.
Mussoorie’s accessibility from major North Indian markets and its established position as a hill destination make it a strategic addition to ITCHL’s expanding leisure portfolio.
Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited, said, “India’s travel landscape is evolving towards experiences that are more meaningful, personal and rooted in the character of a destination. Mussoorie, with its enduring charm, natural beauty and rich sense of place, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of travellers.”
He added that the signing aligns with the company’s strategy of extending Storii’s focus on “discovery, authenticity and immersive hospitality” to distinctive destinations across India.
For ITC Hotels, the Mussoorie signing also reflects the broader positioning of Storii as an experience-led hospitality brand, with individual properties designed around the culture, heritage and character of their locations.
As domestic leisure travel continues to diversify beyond conventional hotel stays, brands such as Storii are increasingly targeting travellers seeking smaller-scale, destination-driven properties with a stronger connection to their surroundings. The Mussoorie property will extend that strategy into one of Uttarakhand’s most established tourism markets.
