Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) has significantly accelerated its India expansion by signing 10 new hotels within a single week in July, marking one of its fastest development spurts in the country. The agreements, spread across seven states, reinforce the group's long-term strategy of building a diversified portfolio across business centres, religious destinations, wildlife circuits and leisure markets.

The latest additions span six brands—Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Inn by Radisson, Park Inn & Suites by Radisson, Radisson Individuals Premier, and Radisson Individuals Retreats—highlighting the company's multi-brand approach to capturing demand across different travel segments while leveraging asset-light growth models.

Betting on India's Tourism Boom

With religious tourism emerging as one of India's fastest-growing travel segments, Radisson Hotel Group is strengthening its presence in key pilgrimage destinations where organised hospitality supply remains limited.

The company has signed Radisson Hotel Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh (115 rooms), Park Inn & Suites by Radisson Mathura Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh (87 rooms), and  Park Inn & Suites by Radisson Kadapa Airport, Andhra Pradesh (45 rooms).

These properties are expected to tap into year-round, high-occupancy demand driven by millions of domestic pilgrims visiting these destinations annually.

India's technology capital continues to remain a strategic focus for the group. The latest signings further strengthen Radisson's Bengaluru portfolio, which currently comprises seven operational hotels and five properties under development, adding 619 keys to the pipeline.

The newly signed projects include: Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Bengaluru (150 rooms), Park Inn by Radisson Electronic City (112 rooms), and Lavish Hotel Bengaluru, a member of Radisson Individuals Premier (113 rooms).

The hotels are positioned to serve the city's growing corporate travel, IT-led MICE demand, staycations and weekend leisure segments.

As leisure travel and destination weddings continue to gain momentum, RHG is expanding its premium resort portfolio with two new signings: Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Jawai, Rajasthan (200 rooms) and Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Vadodara, Gujarat (155 rooms).

These projects are expected to cater to a mix of leisure travellers, corporate events and MICE business in high-growth destinations.

Entering nature tourism

The hotel group is also broadening its presence in India's nature tourism circuit through new developments in wildlife and hill destinations.

Among the highlights is Jungle Home Resort Tadoba, which will join Radisson Individuals Retreats with 26 rooms, becoming the group's first internationally branded property near Maharashtra's Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve.

Other additions include: Park Inn & Suites by Radisson Nainital, Uttarakhand (45 rooms), the group's second hotel in the hill destination, and Park Inn & Suites by Radisson Kalaburagi, Karnataka (55 rooms), expanding its presence into North Karnataka's emerging industrial and heritage corridor.

Leadership perspective

According to Davashish Srivastava, Vice President – Development, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, the latest signings reflect growing confidence among hotel owners in the group's brand portfolio and development capabilities. “These 10 signings represent months of partnership-building and showcase the diversity of opportunities emerging across India—from greenfield developments and resort projects to conversions and hotels in pilgrimage and wildlife destinations. As development opportunities become increasingly varied, our focus remains on offering market-specific brands, flexible deal structures and faster execution that create long-term value for our partners while accelerating quality portfolio growth.”

Commenting on the expansion, Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director & COO, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, said India's hospitality growth is increasingly being driven beyond the country's largest cities. “India’s hospitality growth story is no longer confined to its top metros—it's being written in its temple towns, its business corridors and its wildlife circuits. These 10 signings reflect a deliberate strategy of strengthening our upscale brands in gateway markets while using asset-light, franchise-led models to expand into underserved Tier-II and Tier-III cities. This balanced approach of deepening our metro presence while broadening our reach into emerging markets continues to differentiate our growth strategy in India.”
