MakeMyTrip Limited Reports Q1 FY27 Financial and Operating Results

MakeMyTrip delivers resilient, broad-based growth across its core business segments despite external market headwinds.

MakeMyTrip Limited announced its unaudited financial and operating results for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027 (Q1 FY27), ending June 2026.

Gross Bookings grew 19.9% year-over-year (YoY) in constant currency to approximately US$2.9 billion, demonstrating resilient demand despite multiple external events impacting travel during the quarter.

 

Revenue increased 16.1% YoY in constant currency, supported by strong Adjusted Margin growth across all key business segments: Air Ticketing (+10.8%), Hotels & Packages (+21.3%), Bus Ticketing (+32.4%), and Other Businesses (+27.2%) (all in constant currency).

 

Results from Operating Activities reached US$43.7 million, representing an 8.3% YoY increase, reflecting continued operational discipline and business resilience.

AI Innovation Highlights

  • Launched Myra 2.0, the latest version of MakeMyTrip's AI-powered travel assistant, now evolved into a fully conversational, end-to-end travel booking platform.
  • Enhanced customer experience by enabling users to search, compare options, ask contextual questions, upload documents, and complete bookings—including agentic payments—through a single conversational interface, with support for voice interactions across eight Indian languages.
  • Scaled customer engagement, with Myra facilitating over 85,000 daily conversations during Q1 FY27. More than 45% of these interactions originated from Tier II and Tier III cities across India.
  • Improved post-booking efficiency, with Myra resolving over 50% of customer queries related to flight and hotel bookings during Q1 FY27, driving meaningful operational efficiencies and enhancing the customer support experience.

 

Commenting on the quarterly performance, Rajesh Magow, Group Chief Executive Officer, MakeMyTrip, said: “Despite macroeconomic disruptions, particularly in international travel, travellers adapted by choosing alternative leisure travel options during the quarter. As a result, we delivered a strong performance, demonstrating the resilience of our diversified travel portfolio and the breadth of products and services available on our platform.”

 

He added that while short-term challenges remain, including the impact of the West Asia conflict on oil prices, the company remains confident in the long-term growth prospects of India’s travel and tourism sector, supported by continued infrastructure development and an increasing propensity to travel.
