ibis India has appointed Sachin Maheshwary as Cluster General Manager for ibis Mumbai. The move underscores the brand’s focus on reinforcing leadership in Mumbai—one of its most strategic and high-impact markets in India.

 

With over 20 years of experience spanning luxury, upscale, and economy hospitality, Maheshwary brings strong operational expertise and people leadership capabilities. His career includes hotel pre-openings, large-scale renovations, food and beverage innovation, and performance management across diverse market conditions.

 

In his new role, Maheshwary will oversee the ibis portfolio in Mumbai. His mandate includes strengthening daily operations, enhancing guest experience standards, and driving sustainable, long-term growth for the brand in the city.

Management Perspective

Tejus Jose, Director of Operations, ibis and ibis Styles India, said that Maheshwary’s deep operational understanding, people-centric leadership style, and ability to evolve brands position him well to drive performance, consistency, and guest satisfaction across the portfolio.

 

Maheshwary has held senior leadership roles with Accor and IHCL, leading multiple pre-openings, complex renovation projects, and award-winning food and beverage initiatives. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Novotel Goa Resort and Spa and Novotel Goa Candolim, alongside his regional role as F&B Alchemist for Accor India and South Asia, where he focused on culinary innovation and brand storytelling.
