During the month of Women’s Day, conversations around inclusion often focus on progress. At Jamavar, The Leela Palace Jaipur, inclusion is not a conversation — it is a commitment in action.
The signature fine dining reopened its doors last year with a renewed philosophy rooted in excellence and empowerment. The revival has been the start of its powerful and purposeful new chapter—with an all-women service team running the show every single day.
More than a symbolic gesture, it reflects a deeper belief — that women are not just part of hospitality’s future, they are shaping it.

With an all-women team, the restaurant is quietly reshaping the narrative.
Women Leading Guest Experiences
Re-launched in October 2025, Jamavar has transformed the iconic Mohan Mahal into a space nothing short of extraordinary—evoking the grandeur of a Rajasthani palace hall. Yet beyond its architectural splendour lies its quietly transformative spirit. With an all-women team, the restaurant is quietly reshaping the narrative.
At Jamavar, service is deeply personal. From the moment guests enter the restaurant, they are welcomed with a ceremonial hand-wash ritual inspired by Rajasthan’s royal traditions — setting the tone for an experience rooted in heritage and refinement.
Their role goes far beyond service. The guests are guided through a carefully curated culinary journey that marries regional Indian flavours with contemporary finesse. Each course of the meal is accompanied by thoughtful narration that reveals the heritage, ingredients, and inspiration behind every dish.
At the heart of this seamless experience is a team of trained women professionals. From the kitchen to the floor, the presence of its all-women service team introduces a fresh perspective—defined by skill, resilience, warmth and quiet authority.
Anoop Pandey, General Manager, The Leela Palace Jaipur shares: “The all-women team embodies The Leela’s commitment to gracious hospitality and meaningful empowerment. Each member has undergone specialised training in royal dining rituals and fine-dining etiquette, bringing elegance, cultural storytelling, and refined attentiveness to every table.”
This is inclusion translated into leadership — not as a checkbox, but as a core operating principle.

The guests are guided by the women-led service team through a curated culinary journey that marries regional Indian flavours with contemporary finesse.

The fine-dining destination brings alive the legacy of royal India through time-honoured recipes, precise craftsmanship, and flavours steeped in history.
Women as Custodians of Heritage
The celebrated fine-dining destination brings alive the legacy of royal India through time-honoured recipes, precise craftsmanship, and flavours steeped in history.
“To add a layer of intimacy to the experience, the service team shares stories behind signature dishes—from heirloom recipes to regional spice legacies—creating a journey that honours India’s rich gastronomic heritage,” says Varun Parashar, Executive Chef, The Leela Palace Jaipur.
For many of the team members, Jamavar represents more than a workplace. It represents growth, skill development, confidence, and professional recognition in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
Their presence on the floor challenges outdated narratives and demonstrates that women can lead luxury service with authority and finesse.
Team Lead Norgin Tamag shares, “My journey at Jamawar so far has been truly enriching, and in many ways beyond what I had imagined myself leading. Each day brings a stronger sense of focus, responsibility, and commitment to what we aim to create. Leading a women-led team is especially inspiring, bringing strength and individuality to the forefront. It has always been important for me to deliver a true sense of authenticity, culture, and tradition in every experience. While we believe in our dharmas, this continues to guide us in elevating guest detailing, staying disciplined, and striving to do better each day.”
Another team member chips in, “Being part of Jamavar’s all-women team is more than a professional opportunity—it is a moment of pride for each of us. Through our service, warmth, and attention to detail, we aim to showcase true Indian luxury hospitality—gracious, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in tradition, while creating memorable experiences for every guest.”
As the hospitality industry continues to evolve toward greater representation, Jamawar stands as a compelling example of progress in practice. It demonstrates that when women are entrusted with leadership, they do not simply participate — they transform experiences.
This Women’s Day, Jamavar celebrates more than service. It celebrates women redefining excellence in Indian luxury hospitality.
